The Monochrome Mini

Saturday 29th November 2014

Hey there fashionistas! I hope that you are all well and are having a wonderful weekend! I’m looking forward to doing a spot of shopping and spending time with family and friends, have you got anything nice planned for the next few days?

Last week while I was shopping in New Look and I came across the striking monochrome skirt that I am wearing in today’s outfit. I was immediately drawn to the monochrome colouring and powerful dogtooth design, it’s so bold and effective. This fashionable mini is fastly becoming my favourite skirt! This trendy tube skirt is true to size, super flattering and hugs in all the right places; I adore the elasticated waistband and figure hugging fit. I feel so stylish wearing this gorgeous garment! It’s definitely worth the £12.99 price tag. I’m looking forward to wearing my new skirt all through Autumn/Winter.I love mixing black and white together, if you’re ever unsure of what colour mix to wear always go with black and white! It’s such a versatile colour combination and a personal favourite of mine which is always in fashion.

Chanel Rouge Coco – Rivoli #21

Wednesday 26th November 2014

How gorgeous are berry tones – wine, burgundy, plum all equally beautiful! Rich tones such as these automatically remind me of Autumn/Winter which brings me to the beautiful ‘Rivoli’ a Rouge Coco lipstick by Chanel. A burgundy lip colour with cool undertones – the definition of Autumn lips. Application is smooth, without streaking. Leaving my lips hydrated, moisturised and full of life. Opaque coverage is achievable after just two swipes, revealing the perfect statement lip. I find I get between 3-4 hours wear before Rivoli begins to fade into a beautiful berry stain, at this point I re-apply to achieve full colour intensity. How dark the lip colour appears depends on your skin tone and natural colour of your lips. When I wear Rivoli it appears a deep, berry red shade which compliments my pale complexion perfectly. This beautiful wine shade not only brightens my whole complexion but my teeth as well.

As far as packaging is concerned, Chanel is pretty hard to beat. The tube is elegant, classy and timeless. My heart melts everytime I catch a glimpse of the white interlocking ‘C’s’ on the bullet. I also like when the lid is removed the lip colour is I feel so stylish carrying this delightful lipstick in my handbag.

Super Chic Nouveau Black

Monday 24th November 2014

Hi there fashionistas! How was everyone’s weekend? I had a lovely time visiting Shrewsbury with my family. I had lots of fun shopping and visiting this beautiful city. How are you on this Monday evening? I’m here to share another OOTD with you all!

I love statement tees and the H&M Super Chic Nouveau Black top that I am wearing in today’s OOTD is my current favourite. I was immediately drawn to the striking monochrome colouring and fun slogan design; I adore how bold and striking it is! The slogan look is very popular at the moment and I think Nouveau black is the perfect way to wear the trend plus the relaxed jersey fit and the 3/4 length sleeves are just right for this time of year. This fashionable, versatile tee can be styled with pretty much anything from jeans to skirts and will still look stylish!
H&M offer various designs in the same jersey fit including trendy leopard print and beautiful winter whites all costing £9.99 available online and in store.

In today’s outfit I decided to team Super Chic Nouveau Black with my leather look skater skirt (also from H&M) which looks really effective worn with my tee and helps the slogan stand out. I love the mix between the two.

If you are a regular reader of my blog you may recognise my under-the-knee boots I’m wearing from a previous OOTD! They are my new found vintage love which I discovered in my local charity store (for just £3!). I have worn them several times already, I feel so stylish stepping out in these beautiful boots. What I love most is the Italian leather, it smells absolutely divine and feels so soft. Today they compliment my faux leather skater skirt so well!

The trendy necklace I am wearing is another item from H&M. It has been in my jewellery collection for a while and I still love it more more than ever! It’s so versatile, super stylish and never goes out of fashion.

The Autumn Waistcoat

Friday 21st November 2014

Well hello fashion friends! Happy Friday to you all! I hope you are all having a fashionable day so far.

Furry waistcoats are always the top of my wishlist for fall; when the temperature starts to drop the waistcoat is one of my favourite wardrobe staples. I love the versatility and endless style opportunities that a waistcoat brings. Worn over pretty much anything from dresses to jumpers a waistcoat adds the perfect finishing touch to any Autumn outfit and can be a great addition to any wardrobe being ideal for layering whilst also adding extra warmth – faux fur can be really warm!

Sometimes it can be really hard to find the right looking jacket or in this case, a waistcoat which doesn’t look cheap or cost an absolute fortune which is why I especially adore the waistcoat that I am wearing in today’s OOTD – it is my new thrifty find! I spotted this faux fur waistcoat in my local charity store, being super stylish, bang on trend and totally fashionable, priced up at only £5, I just had to have it!

The burgundy body-con midi dress that I am wearing today has been in my wardrobe for a while but I still love it more than ever! I purchased it from Topshop and I am so pleased that I did! I’m a huge fan of the midi length, being perfectly on trend and ever so stylish, I simply adore this gorgeous dress. I love the figure hugging fit, the Autumnal colouring and the long sleeved design. This stylish dress is a much loved member of my wardrobe and makes me feel effortlessly fashionable everytime I wear it! My black fur waistcoat compliments my midi dress perfectly, together they look stylish and fashionable – a touch of daytime glamour. Topshop have many beautiful similar styles available in store right now! (If you are interested I’ve left the link for you down below :).

The Tartan Skater

Wednesday 19th November 2014

Hi there fashion lovers! Welcome to Wednesday’s outfit post! How are you all on this lovely Autumn evening?

With tartan being totally on trend this Autumn/Winter season, I was really pleased to find the stylish green skater skirt that I am wearing in today’s OOTD. At £8 this is another one of Primark’s bargain buys, the quality is amazing – the skirt is fully lined and it hangs nicely without any unsightly and annoying gathering. I decided to team the skirt up with a black fluffy jumper from Select that you might recognise from a previous OOTD, the tartan and black compliment each other nicely. I decided to tuck the jumper into my skirt to accentuate my waistline. I adore the versatility of this fashionable winter jumper; worn tucked in a skirt (like in todays outfit), over a dress or fitted into a pair of jeans, the styling possibilities are endless! This beautiful black jumper matches and looks great with everything in my wardrobe, I love how soft and snuggly it feels and the cropped style is so stylish!

This season I’m definitely having a love affair with hats! Being ever so stylish and perfect for Autumn/Winter I just can’t stop wearing them! My collection holds way over 10 – a girl can never have too many hats right? My most loved hats have to be my Select burgundy floppy hat (see outfit inspiration here and here and my black H&M fedora (that I am wearing today). I know that not everyone feels comfortable wearing a hat but it really is one accessory that can set you apart from the crowd and can create a whole new look that’s different from everyone else. Hats also allow you to experiment with your style and you can also customise a hat to make it unique by adding a ribbon, brooch or scarf.
